White "Universal LTE" Moto G Pops Up On Amazon

Do you want a Moto G but its lack of LTE speeds is holding you back? Motorola/Lenovo might have you covered, and it's even bringing along a new color to boot.

For a short time, a device called the "Universal LTE" Moto G was listed on Amazon and was available in both the traditional black and a new white color. Not much is known about the device, other than the release date and price Amazon listed, June 30th for $219.99. Given the name, it's also a safe bet that the phone will have extensive LTE capabilities.

What, exactly, "Universal LTE" entails is unclear, but Motorola has done a good job in the past of supporting a wide range of networks. The photos above and below are courtesy of Engadget's Chinese site; the listing has been taken down.

Presumably, other than the improved wireless connectivity, this will be the same Moto G currently goes for $179.99 - $199.99. That device has a 4.5 inch 1280 x 720 screen, 1GB of RAM, either 8 or 16GB of internal storage, a 5MP main camera, a 1.3MP front facing camera and the 1.2 Ghz quad-core Snapdragon 400.

We can't be 100 percent certain that the Amazon listing is correct, but it is highly unlikely that Amazon would post an image and listing, complete with a release date and price, if they didn't know something was coming.

Will the addition of LTE speeds get you interested in the Moto G at all?
