The does give commuters a fast, and convenient way to move about the city, but when things go wrong they can be and have been life or death! The latest Shanghai scandal took place only yesterday when a crwoded car set of through the underground with one of it's automatic doors wide open!
Concerned passangers were able to notify the crew who fixed the door and continued using the train throughout the day.
It's a miracle no one was hurt!
