Samsung Galaxy A6 and A6+ surface in Benchmark listing

Following the launch of Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+, Samsung mobile is reportedly working on updating the J series of Smartphones with the Galaxy J4, J8, and J8+. And while these devices are yet to see the light of the day, two new smartphones supposedly belonging to Samsung's Galaxy A-series have been spotted on the Geek benchmark site, revealing a few things about the duo.

The two phones in question are codenamed SM-A600FN and an SM-A605G, and baring any change in naming convention, these devices no doubt would be marketed as the Samsung Galaxy A6 and the Galaxy A6+.

As per the listing, the alleged Galaxy A6 will be powered by Exynos 7870 chipset coupled with 3GB RAM and a Mali-T830 MP1 GPU. the same processor that is expected to power the Galaxy J6 which was spotted recently on the Geekbench database.

The Galaxy A6+, on the other hand, will ditch the in-house chipset for the Snapdragon 625 with same CPU, Adreno 506 GPU, but with increased RAM size- 4GB.

Performances of both devices are identical, with the Galaxy A6 and the A6+ scoring 3605 & 723 and 3469 & 739 in multi and single-core tests respectively. Both devices will boot Android 8.0 Oreo out-of-the-box.

There's currently no information on the release date, but we more details as the day goes by.
