Redmi Go with 3000mAh battery officially announced, priced at €80

Xiaomi’s sub-brand - Redmi has finally announced the Redmi Go - its first Android Go device and second smartphone under the independent Redmi brand. The device is as bare as every other Android Go smartphones in the market - missing out on all the trending feature in a modern smartphone.

The Redmi Go is equipped with the entry-level Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 with four Cortex-A53 cores running at 1.4GHz, 1GB RAM, and up to 16GB of expandable storage. Sadly, you are at liberty to chose between using the Dual SIM or a single SIM with a microSD card for memory expansion and not both.

It comes fitted with a 3,000mAh battery capacity which should be enough to power the 5" 1280x720px LCD of the conventional 16:9 aspect for a whole day without running out of juice. The Redmi Go also offers an 8MP f/2.2 main camera and 5MP f/2.2 selfie shooter.

Based on Android 8.1 Oreo Go edition, the device much like every other Android Go devices comes pre-installed with lightweight apps Google Go, Assistant Go, Gmail Go, and YouTube Go.

The Xiaomi Redmi Go is expected to go on sale later in February at a price of €80 in Europe. We are yet to confirm when and at what price the device will roll out to other markets.
