OnePlus gets caught up in more involuntary data sending

Apparently once wasn't enough. OnePlus has once again been accused of collecting user and system data through a system app called OPBugReportLite. The app was discovered by Twitter user Elliot Alderson, who has detailed what the app does on a Twitter post.

According to Elliot, the app collects battery stats, kernel panics, your device's crashes and sends that compiled information to a server in Singapore every 6 hours. The logs from OPBugReportLite are non-encrypted when stored so any app with storage permission could potentially read and use the data.

OnePlus has yet to to comment on the issue, though there should be some sort of announcement soon. The company has been accused of the same issue before this, and they've vowed to give their users a clear opt-out from data collection, so it's terribly disappointing to see them do this once more.
