I once worked with a lady for Australia who had a totally different use for the word 'root' and phrase 'getting rooted', however that's not for here! What is for here though is the news that Amazon's 7-inch Android tablet has already been hacked and rooted meaning lots of cool functions can now be added to the pint sized e-Reader!
Rooting the Amazon Kindle Fire means you will be able to install unofficial applications and ROM's to give the bargain tablet are more customised and personal look as well as adding functions to the tablet Amazon don't really want to give you access to.
How To Root Amazon Kindle Fire
Thankfully rooting the Kindle fire couldn't be simpler and can be acheived by using a modified version of the SuperOneClick 2.2 tool which you can find over at the XDA developers board.
