HTC U 11: forget about headphones jack, use USB Type-C instead

It seems that the end of the 3.5mm audio jack is near, with another upcoming flagship model (HTC U 11) presumably choosing USB Type-C technology in order to connect headphones.

HTC U 11: forget about headphones jack, use USB Type-C instead

News comes from the well-acclaimed leakster LlabTooFeR, who tweeted recently that the HTC U will not feature a headphone jack, but instead, HTC will include a USB-C to 3.5mm headphone jack adapter for all those of us who prefer to use our own headphones. If this is the case, then the HTC U 11 will be one of the first models to offer an adapter, given the fact that most previous phones from HTC either didn't have or didn't offer one for free.

The HTC U 11 flagship is expected to be officially unveiled in Taipei on May 16, equipped with a strange frame that can be squeezed in order to perform several functions, a Snapdragon 835 SoC, 4 or 6GB of RAM etc.

Stay tuned for more news on this, soon.
