True-wireless earphones are fast becoming a thing with millennials in India as the youth prefer more untangled connections with their smart devices. Keeping in tune with the trend, Boat has announced probably the most affordable pair of wireless earphones called Airdopes 211. The uncanny name aside, these cost Rs 2,499 and will be sold on Amazon India.
The Boat Airdopes 211 are miniature and boast 8mm dynamic drivers with a frequency range of 20-20,000Hz. They’re also IPX4 rated which means dust and water resistant but not waterproof. The Airdopes 211 look like your traditional earbuds and each one has a 45mAh battery. The company claims a battery life of 2.5 hours while the included charging case comes with a bigger 450mAh capacity. It’s good enough to charge the two buds at least three times.
The Airdopes 211 also has capacitive touch controls for volume and playback control. The new product from Boat will face competition from the likes of Zebronics which also has a similar-priced product called Zeb Peace true-wireless earbuds.
