Back in May last year, Huawei unveiled the Huawei Y9 Prime (2019) in India. It was the company's first smartphone to hit India with a pop-up camera mechanism. At that time, it was one of the hottest trends in the industry that came to ditch the controversial notch. Today, however, we're starting to see the industry changing to punch-hole solutions. Back in the release, the Y9 Prime came with Android Pie-based EMUI 9. The smartphone received EMUI 9.1 in August, and now the Chinese Behemoth is rolling out EMUI 10 for it. It's based on Google's latest Android 10.
Due to its natural roots to Android 10, EMUI 10 also brings System-Wide Dark Mode to the Huawei Y9 Prime (2019). However, the new firmware also brings a brand new color scheme inspired by Morandi Color as well as Magazine Design. It seamlessly curates the on-screen content into a design that is very similar to a magazine. Moreover, the update also includes new animations with instant feedback, smooth movements and impressive response times.
The EMUI 10 update is rolling in India and users can download it through the HiCare App. We recommend the update for every Huawei y9 Prime owner since it'll also get updated security fixes as well as refreshed software experience.
