Apple Arcade Gaming Subscription Service details are here

Apple Arcade was revealed back in March as the company's first step into the crescent subscription-based gaming scene. During the unveiling, the company didn't give specific details about the service's availability. These details are finally available now.

The Cupertino-based firm will kick the service on September 19, as well as the subscription model. Furthermore, it revealed the price of $4,99 per month. Interesting enough, the company will be running a 1-month free-trial period which will allow users to have a taste of Arcade.

What is more interesting about Arcade is the fact that the service covers an entire Apple family with up to six members. This basically dispenses the need for specific family plans. Also, it will make the whole process of transitioning between iPads, iPhones and Apple TVs much more easier.

Apple also reaffirms the compromise of offering exclusive original content for Arcade customers. The company revealed that users will count with over 100 titles, many of which are exclusive. These games will be gradually popping out in the first weeks after the September 19 launch. Apple Arcade will also get a broad launch starting with 150 countries.

Apple Arcade will allow users to play anytime no matter if they are offline. The company also reaffirms the compromise of keeping user's integrity and privacy through the service. Arcade will definitely come with a different approach than the one adopted by Google's Stadia and Microsoft's xCloud. While these two will focus on the AAA gaming scene, we'll see Apple focusing on more traditional and casual games. However, now that Apple has the platform, it can change its strategy in the future.
