In addition, he also revealed that Huawei's 5G mobile phones will be launched in June this year.
Hu Houkun said that this year is a very important year for technology because many tech companies will usher in a critical breakthrough. Of course, 5G will be the largest market in the technology sector this year. Technology is maturing, and the market is growing rapidly. He said that according to GSMA (Global System for Mobile Communications), by 2025 we will see 5G deployed in 110 countries.
Hu Houkun believes that smartphones are very important and he is very convinced that the next time he will meet in Davos, many people will be using 5G mobile phones. In December last year, Huawei officially confirmed that in the first half of 2019, it will release its 5G smartphone equipped with 5G chips, and will achieve commercial scale in the second half of 2019.
